Explore movements, breath practices and hands-on support that can help mama through labor + delivery.
In this workshop, you can expect a light and fun atmosphere! This is designed for couples to learn useful tools + techniques that can help ease labor, promote relaxation and build confidence around ways to support mama during labor. This is a really great way to feel more connected to your partner during pregnancy.
Touch from your partner helps facilitate the feeling of safety. When mama feels safe during labor, her body naturally is more relaxed and calm. These feelings allow the body to release hormones and labor to begin or progress. And then … baby!
Topics included:
-A gentle yoga sequence that incorporates positions that can help you during labor + delivery.
– Breathing to promote calm and relaxation.
– Visualization + relaxation techniques.
– Partner massage + counter pressure techniques.
– Various birth positions.
– Reading signals of mama during birth.
Please wear comfortable clothing. You can bring something to take notes with if you’d like. You’ll have the opportunity to practice what you learn and to ask questions!
